BB | Garnet to tawny. Refined, spicy, sweet tobacco, curry leaf, small red fruits, poised, smoke and meaty nose. Super sweet red fruit nose, fine tannins, layered, clean, long, mineral finish. A classic Sangiovese.Drink Dates: 2026 - 2035. 96
AJ | Relatively light and evolved for the vintage. Refined and elegant, but perhaps we hoped it would have a bit more to say for itself at this stage. Considerable floating charm nonetheless. Shapely, graceful and refined on the palate -- and super tannins here, wonderfully resonant, and far more important than the almost incidental acidity in this wine. There is really considerable excitement in the interplay of this fragrant, vinous, teeteting-on-secondary fruit and the shuttle of its mellow but articulate tannins. Gorgeous ripeness. Drinking beautifully now but those tannins will keep it in play for an easy decade.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2035. 92
MP | The nose is fully developed with tobacco, cooked fruit, mushroom and fig. In the mouth this leads to a dramatic and powerful finish where the obvious fruit and spicy notes from oak combine with the fine tannins and bright acidity to create a 'drink now' Brunello with ample fruit and much to like. This is unlikely to develop any further.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2027. 93
