Nicolas Belfrage: Deep, going on opaque, some turn. Wood dominates nose again, very classy but not vinous. Usual fruit on palate but an intruder in the form of something mineral, almost medicinal, which renders the wine unusual not in the most positive of ways. 10
Roy Richards Tight, no fruit coming through. The palate is austere and rustic with no charm. Can’t quite work out whether this is a traditional wine waiting to evolve into a beauty, or just something that is stolid and dull. I suspect the latter. 10
Franco Ziliani: Dark, intense ruby violet color. The bouquet is mysterious, wild, mineral with a little some excessive oaks that tends to dominate the wine. Rich structure, solid tannins (from oak and not only from fruit) but the wine finishes slightly bitter and dry. 14
