John Livingstone-Learmonth: Full, dark red core to the still thorough robe. There is a wide shape to the bouquet —red berries, with a rich, coulis nature; there is a little aromatic sweet tea, and also a live, slightly acidic afternote. The palate sets off with a keen thrust of acidity in its red fruits —really darts along. The red fruit is not as spherical as I recall. The wine settles with some air, bearing the house clarity and clear late expression. Very primary in its way: on this showing, revert in 2009. It is very young now, indeed a lot younger than it seems, and has more to offer. Rich, but passing through a bit of a transition. 2026–30. ****** (19–20)
