Ella Lister: Deep russet. The nose is fresh and revitalizing, a country lane after summer rain (wet tarmac and grass). There are deep black fruits—currants and even a touch of prune, as well as a herbal note (Ricola cough sweets). Pretty, red-fruit freshness, singing on the palate, with an alluring, subtle, floral gentility, if not the greatest length.
