Jasper Morris: Harvested September 3, 13.4% ABV, 35% whole-cluster, 100% new oak for 16 months. This is the nose I associate with Russian River Valley, very heady, with exotic peonies. The color is a little lighter than the Summa Vineyard ’95, but holding together well. The oak is more prominent, the fruit holds up nicely, though with slightly dry tannins behind. This is reasonably high-octane for an English palate. |
