Jasper Morris: Harvested September 6, 13.4% ABV, 30% whole-cluster, 100% new wood for 17 months. Light mid-red, a little more brick at the edges, but this is fine for a wine now more than 30 years old. Very attractive floral and light red fruit on the nose, exactly the balance Burt Williams has been searching for. Gracious, pure, full of energy, more strawberry and raspberry fruit on the palate, very long, fine, exquisite finish. A relatively straightforward vintage to make, not requiring much work, according to Burt. There is a drier aspect to this, but the rest of the wine is sublime.
