Jesús Barquín: Yellow. Peculiar vegetal nose, marked by intense notes that include also licorice root on the palate. Pungent, high in acetaldehyde, very dry finish. Hard to rate because for all its personality it still lacks balance. 87

Andrew Jefford: Mid-gold. Unattractive and unclassical scents of broad-bean pods and vulcanized plastic. The aromas don’t invite sipping. Strange, unattractive flavors here, too. Something has surely gone awry at some stage. 77

Peter Liem: This feels mature in flavor yet not very complex, and it’s a little hollow and incomplete on the palate. It’s reflective of Manzanilla in its linear structure, and it’s quite long on the finish. As with many of these wines, it seems to need further aging in bottle to show its best. 87
