Nicolas Belfrage: Medium deep, very bright. Sweet, herbal, cherry nose. Agreeable, up-front, cherry-fruity palate, almost fruit-juicy; attractive and nicely balanced. More like Rosso than Brunello, drink now for five years. 15

Bruno Besa: Pale garnet to pink; tawny rim. Restrained, elegant nose, with hints of oak, Bing cherries, and rosewater. Medium body, with sweet clean fruit, touch short. Pleasant but a bit diluted. 15.5

Andrew Jefford: Deep red, but lighter than most of its peers. Refined, milky, graceful aromatic profile of red fruit and warm stones. On the palate, this is a soft, light, open, engaging, and smiling wine, but it’s going to need rapid drinking and won’t make old bones. 13
