Stephen Brook: Fairly deep red, with firm brick tones. Dense but mushroomy nose, very evolved tea aromas. Although rather astringent, this still has some fruit and concentration, and the tannins are integrated. The finish is sweet, but overall the wine lacks succulence and is now past its best, deteriorating in the glass. Moderate length. 14
