Neal Martin: Deeper in color than the 1975. The nose is quite earthy, with touches of mushroom and mint; Graves-like in style, with commendable if not scintillating definition. The palate is medium-bodied, with drier tannins than the 1975, more austere and obdurate, with dried herbs and tobacco defining the brutish finish. 15
