Stephen Browett: Lightish color, hints of tobacco and mint on the nose. Weak on the palate with a slight suggestion of drains. Dry finish. Something’s not right here. Two bottles opened with similar notes. Oh dear. Last place in the final St-Emilion flight by a considerable margin. On my return home I looked up my notes from barrel samples, which were equally uninspiring. And I really like Figeac normally...13
Michael Schuster: Dark, brick-rimmed red; crisp, fresh, red-fruit nose; medium full, moderately concentrated, and very dried by its new wood. I’m not sure this will ever come round. Judgment reserved.
