BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: A pale-colored wine with a fragrant, multilayered nose, the Sauvignon very much to the fore. Fresh, long, and still young; not as sensual and together as the Nairac, but definitely full of promise. 15

Michael Schuster: Pale greeny gold; intense honey, lemon, and Semillon wax nose; sweet to very sweet, with a fresh defining acidity; pure and mineral in flavor, with an understated tenacity of taste, not showy, but very good, with lovely, fragrantly spicy length. Very fine Doisy-Daëne, a quietly spoken beauty. Will probably go into its shell for a while. 2015–30. 16/16.5+
