John Gilman: Doisy-Daëne shows a very delicate botrytis character but offers impressive refinement and a dancing acidity that is pretty rare in this vintage. The bouquet offers a complex and vibrant blend of pineapple, lemon peel, bee pollen, lovely chalky soil tones, spring flowers, and a lovely base of vanillin oak. On the palate, the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex, and nicely crisp, with a good core of fruit, lovely focus and balance, and just the faintest whisper of back-end alcohol poking through on the classy finish. A very fine example of the vintage. 2016–35. 17
