BUY THE WINE

Stephen Brook: Waxy apricot nose, Semillon-dominated; delicate botrytis and a touch of mint. The aromas are discreet, but this is still young. Medium-bodied, sleek, but not that concentrated; has some zest and acidity and a refreshing bite on the finish. Not that complex and rather understated, but it’s balanced and has some finesse. 15

Margaret Rand: Open-textured, bright, straightforward, and very appealing. The finish is very good and very long, and there may well be much more to come on this wine. It’s refreshing, and while it’s very long, it doesn’t give the impression of great tightness. Surely a Barsac? Light, almost frivolous, but with great confidence. 16

Michael Schuster: Pale, greeny gold; marked waxy Semillon nose, early bouquet. Medium-bodied, intensely sweet wine, nicely defined by its acidity; vital, nice length across the palate, good light length of aftertaste. Ready, and to 2025+. 16
