Stephen Brook: Opulent peaches and cream nose. Lush, voluptuous, super-ripe, yet not blowsy or thick. This has both concentration and power—and a mineral tang to keep it lively. An imposing wine, almost chewy in its weight. I suspect it has high alcohol, but it carries it well and does not seem out of balance. Hard to resist a wine with such grandeur, even though a second glass might be a little fatiguing. 18
Simon Larkin: More mute aromatically, with clean-cut yellow plum fruit. On the palate, this shows a viscous nature, simple and fresh if a little flat. There is a pleasing, layered textural quality and good persistence. Very tangy, citrus acidity here. As with many examples, this is correct without showing any great distinction. The complexity is modest, with some alcoholic warmth on the finish and good length. 12
Andreas Larsson: Elegant and mineral nose, with good purity and hints of stone fruit. The palate is intense and vibrant, with delicate fruit, minerals, and an invigorating freshness. A very nice and balanced wine, displaying the characteristics of Grüner in a firm and fresh package. Very good potential. 18
