Andrew Jefford: Mid-gold in color. Very full and bosomy on the aroma: smooth, seamless, warm, and engaging. Vivid, bright flavors, with lots of depth and detail to them, though slightly acidic at the edges and without huge mid-palate wealth and depth. Attractive, poised Chardonnay, nonetheless, that gives the sense that it is going to do something rich and nutty before too long. 14.5
Jancis Robinson: Very strange nose: rather “hot,” and it reminds me of damp fur and sweat. Sweet start, then rather chewy. Very unlike the technically correct marvels in the rest of this tasting. Watery finish. Drink 2012–14. 14.5
Anthony Rose: Pale lemon; pleasantly peach Chardonnay nose, with a clean, refreshing spritz on the palate that brings a vivid character to the fruit, which is attractively zingy and peachy and ripe, underscored by a pleasantly creamy oak element and marked by a tangy bite on the finish. A tad on the anodyne side. 15.5
