Alex Hunt: Somehow, a very ripe-Bordeauxinfluenced style of oak-dominated nose, all cinnamon and currants. While initially too obvious, there is actually excellent focus here. The palate, too, is on the linear side without being scrawny. In fact, there is a nice bulge of sweetness in the middle. Overall, a rather deft balance of influences - 16.5
Andrew Jefford: Saturated deep black-red. Fresh, light, and relatively graceful scents for the Argentinian cohort; this almost has a Chilean sweetness and poise to it. Refined, graceful, and classy. On the palate, that general roundness and fleshiness is what you find, too, though—as always with South America at the highest level— it is very heady. For me, it lacks the substance, extractive force, and tannic depth of the best, though it is pleasant and toothsome - 14
Jancis Robinson: Dark crimson. Very rich and sweet on the nose. Too sweet. Not enough refreshment factor. A little warm, and a second bottle is a little less sweet. Very ripe but with some structure and future, even if a bit leathery. Sweet and sour, with a hint of green. Leathery finish. Drink to 2018 - 16
