Tim Atkin: Mid ruby/purple. Quite developed, sweet oak. Medium tannins. Well made, good oak integration, medium weight, not too alcoholic. Cherry and plums. Tannin dominates on the finish, drying the wine. 14
Alex Hunt: Dark, roasted fruit aromas. Full-bodied on entry, vigorous mid-palate flavor, and finishes quite neat. Convincing stuff. 14
Anthony Rose: Good color. Slightly confected sweet-oak aromas, with lots of mocha, chocolate, sweet oak, and sweet cherry fruit on the palate, starting to soften now with hints of caramel from the oak and blackcurranty fruit. Pleasantly approachable and juicy—a very attractive drink now and over the coming 2–3 years. 16
