Tim Atkin: Deep ruby. Some brick red at the rim. Strange, faintly resinous nose. Palate very oaky and dry. Lacks fruit. Chewy, bitter finish. Blackcurrant leaf. 11

Alex Hunt: Rather dumb, inky aroma with some signs of oxidation. Not a great deal of character on the palate. 10.5

Anthony Rose: Deep color, with sweet, slightly baked, and almost Porty aromas on the nose. Quite firm, spicy oak, and slightly astringent tannins on the palate. A hint of overripeness here, with lots of sweetness and vanilla oak, but slightly gawky tannins and obvious, oak-dominated fruit. 14.5
