BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: Developed ruby/purple. Feral, Porty nose, already with some oxidation. Dry palate, tannic, firm, some mint. High acid. Lean finish. A wine that is, I suspect, going nowhere. 8

Alex Hunt: Evolved, even slightly oxidative, though with an engaging, savory, meaty quality as well on the nose. The fruit on the palate is attractive but already beginning to tire slightly, and the texture is becoming a little threadbare. 12

Anthony Rose: Quite sweet, Porty, evolved, and leathery on the nose. Similarly, rather sweet and full-blooded on the palate, with lots of spicy vanilla oak and plenty of sweet fruit. It’s drinkable enough at this stage, but with its drying, chunky tannins and alcohol, it just slightly palls on the finish. 15
