Luigi Bosca De Sangre Cabernet Sauvignon Mendoza Argentina 2020 (14.5% ABV) – 90
SF | Dense color; slightly reduced today. Tight, sinewy; plenty of weight and potential; with time and air, the fruit comes to the fore. Hints of spice, dark fruit, and white chocolate, its reticence today may well signal a broader, more open future. 89
AR | A youthful ruby in color, this is a tad shy in aroma but fresh and promising, with red and black berry fruit starting to emerge, the oak taking a welcome back seat; it's a really appealing young wine to taste, full of ripe yet fresh blackberry flavors and nicely integrated oak, with a succulence of texture that makes it approachable right from the start; and while it's powerful enough, that power becomes part of a wine in which all the elements of acidity, tannin, and oak are very nicely balanced throughout. 93
DW | Very tight and firm, with noticeable oak slightly masking bright, youthful fruit, this is in an awkward phase, I think, but that fruit quality has a spark that may well come to life in time. 88
