BUY THE WINE

Nicolas Belfrage: Medium color, bright, fairly youthful. A quiet nose, herbal, faintly floral. Juicy and fairly concentrated, but also waxy and savory, this wine needs another couple of years in bottle to be able to express itself fully. Drink from 2018. 88

Bruno Besa: Light garnet to tawny. A restrained and elegant nose, with lively minerality, small red fruits, and hints of tobacco and leather. Medium to full body, balanced with clean red fruit and long defined finish. 92

Andrew Jefford: Clear, deep garnet red with a glowing core. Bottle 1: corked. Bottle 2: sweet, warm, rounded glowing red fruits of ample, easy charm. On the palate, this is a graceful, open wine—yet with plenty of tannic mass to carry its restrained fruit and lend it true Tuscan leaf-and-woodland character. It’s not quite concentrated or refined enough for a top score, but this is a Brunello I would love to relax with tonight. 86
