Tim Atkin: Wine-dark sea color. Thick, concentrated, but balanced. One of the best modern wines. Sweet vanilla oak, plummy fruit, good acidity. Impressive length. Still very young, but has the structure to age. Savory finish. 16.5
Jesús Barquín: Deep cherry. Impressive fruit, alcohol, and tannin, all in massive quantities—but without renouncing its Riojan origin, leaving an overall impression of quality and harmony despite the power. It does not now conform to my favorite style, but it might after a number of years in bottle. Intermediate. 16
Marcel Orford-Williams: Ahh! that is better. Much more finesse, indeed real elegance. This is rich, full, and sweet with a lovely long finish. Still some tannin hanging around at the close. Old-style. 18
