Essi Avellan | Peachy hues to the lemon color. Ripe, fruity, apricotty nose. Apple juice, fruit drops, and apricot tart. Plush, round, soft palate, with a frothy mousse. Little short but succulent. | 90
Simon Field | Canvas color, rather a reticent mousse, rapidly retreating across the years. Nose of apple strudel, quince, and lanolin. The palate is big-boned, deferential to the warm year, preserved lemons, and gorse; acacia and hints of bread. Rather puritanical of outlook, ultimately, the sunny uplands, maybe temporarily, obscured by clouds. | 91
Anthony Rose | A very slight pinkish tinge and berry-like aroma suggest a good proportion of Pinot grapes in a fizz with a pleasingly fragrant style, with berries and nutty autolysis notes fighting for supremacy. The fruit quality is pure and winey, with a note of raspberries. The creamy texture turns from fresh to savory, with just a hint of bitterness/freshness, as it tapers toward a really balanced, tangily fresh finish, not a hair out of place. | 95
