BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | All the samples are in agreement; this is one splendid wine, with its incomparable notes of citrus (mandarin, lemon, and Seville orange) and charming texture. An obviously great vintage, even for the dry S cuvée, with big structure. | 18

Michael Schuster | Orange-hued gold; dense, complex botrytis spice, musk-and-citrus-zest nose; rich, fresh, concentrated wine; intensely sweet, unctuously textured, long across the palate; lively and luscious at once, very complex, and with fine, spicy length. Distinctly Sauternes, rather than Barsac, and a particularly complete 2013. Stylish, complete Suduiraut. | 18
