Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red, though off opacity now. Sweetly serene, harmonious, graceful aromas which combine tender-ripe curranty fruits with the scent of cool, moist clay in springtime— wet humus and stone dust. There’s a bit more urgency to the fruits here than for many of its peers, though we are still well short of the strident notes of many Médoc wines. Very fine tannins and a graceful, elegant mouthful: lovely flavor architecture. Not a showstopper—indeed, the fruit seems a little simpler than usual—but beautiful drinking in the medium term. | 91
Michael Schuster | Freshly ripe nose with just a faint hint of herbaceousness; medium-full, crisp in acidity, finely firm in tannin, an elegant if slightly lean- firm constitution. Ripe-fruited in flavor, gently juicy, long to taste, quite complex and aromatic within its firm frame, and with very good fruit persistence. Not a grand DC, but good quality in its overall tauter year style, and clearly needing a bit of time. 2026–36+. | 90
