Stephen Brook | The nose is delicate and limpid, with charming cherry aromas and some floral lift. Sleek and polished, this is a sophisticated style with no rough edges and good manners. The tannins are understated but certainly present, but the overriding impression is of refined fruit and well-judged acidity. Long and stylish. | 94
Andrew Jefford | Dark garnet-ruby in color. Soft, creamy, warm. Spiced plum fruits, but without artifact; these scents are from the core of the crop. A little hint of wild herbs and lavender, too. Ripe, ample, deep, soothing, relatively soft in texture: all about the fruit, and the fruit is delicious, energetic, perfectly ripened. Rounded and glowing Brunello that just remembers itself and turns faintly austere toward the finish, adding to the overall pleasure. Fruit is rarely classier than this; truly lyrical Brunello. | 93
Michael Palij | Mineral notes, discreet nose, some delicate red fruit, cranberry and hawthorn, red cherry, bay leaf, and black olive. The palate shows some tertiary character without the additional complexity one might expect. Well made and competent, but just a little uninspired in this company. | 91
