Stephen Brook | The nose is slightly subdued but has some purity of fruit and berry-scented charm. Medium-bodied, it has a boulevardier’s elegance rather than great weight or force. Ripe tannins and acidity save it from laziness, and it has structure, too. Yet it lacks some drive and energy on the finish, and this is probably destined for good medium-term drinking. | 91
Andrew Jefford | Translucent black-red with ruby glints. Soft and graceful: deftly interfolded scents of freshly ripe cherry fruit (nothing forceful or ample here), lanolin, and blossom. Fresher than many. Limpid, fine-grained wine, with concentration and depth, balance and poise, resonance and resource, but all of these qualities in sculpted, elegant style. There is still a little clasp, a little reserve here, which suggests that the wine will have more to give later. Very authoritative, though a little less sensually engaging (just now) than some of its peers, with a cool, compressed style. | 92
Michael Palij | A big nose of strawberries and cream, with redcurrant and raspberry, vanilla, crème brûlée, plum, and menthol. On the palate, this is rich and ripe, with drying tannins and a tobacco-leaf, vegetal finish. There is some persistence of flavor but not as much as one might like. | 92
