Simon Field | Attractive, almost luminous character; bright and imposing in its structural authenticity; gentle, almost citric, character, fine balancing acidity, and poised on the finish. Lovely balance and structural integrity, a most impressive effort for a “lesser” year; lacking a little weight maybe, but not lacking for elegance. | 91
Andrew Jefford | Light, clear, and translucent, with gentle russet-brick colors. Scents of strawberry jam and boiled sweets: superficially attractive, but lacks profundity. Soft and sweet on the palate; smiling but a little toothless. Pleasant enough to sip, even though the spirit is beginning to show, but a non- starter in the serious Vintage Port stakes. | 85
Richard Mayson | Pale to mid-tawny hue; open-scented, a touch floral and fully mature on the nose, a touch roasted and showing the heat of the vintage; similarly rich and rather soupy on the palate initially, soft, some spicy tannin mid-palate leading to an enjoyable finish with more than just a vestige of berry fruit apparent. | 88
