BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster | Pale golden yellow; honeyed, waxy Semillon on the nose; very elegantly balanced on the palate, rich, concentrated, and fresh; immediately gently unctuous in texture, but its very sweet flavor held in check by a finely integrated, subtly lemony acidity; long and rich and pure and very Botrytis-spiced and racy, a palate that is both seductive and imposing, and with great length. As usual, a wine of great richness and complexity, but this year with a notably elegant restraint, too. Typical. Splendid. Rich yet contained.
