Bruno Besa | Deep ruby to garnet. Ripe, slightly rustic, black-fruit nose, with leather and forest undergrowth. Full-bodied, with ample tannins and a long yet challenging finish. A generous but rather rustic wine. | 88
Andrew Jefford | Deep black-red. Dark, moist, rather tanky aromatic notes of plum soup and damson jam. Perhaps air will help open and lift the profile? Very sweetly fruity and enticing in that sense, but lacks lift and fragrance. Time in the glass doesn’t bring about a shift. Chunky and foursquare on the palate; firm, full, deep but a little low on charm and seduction. | 87
Anthony Rose | Quite dense, brooding, youthful ruby in color. A tad shy on the nose but integrated oak and nice richness of Sangio fruit on the palate, supported by a firmish structure of fine tannins and good juicy acidity in a very well-balanced framework of fruit and good texture, all in a traditional, please-drink-me-with-food style. | 90
