BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Ruby to garnet, pink. Warm, ripe, prune and earth nose, with leather, tobacco, red meat, and a touch of VA. High-tone acidity on the palate, but well balanced by the mature red fruit. Slightly lean yet clean finish. | 88

Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red; clear and translucent. Ample volume of lifted fruits: juicy currants with a slight herbaceous touch. On the palate, this wine is a little tangy and dry, with some bitterness. I’m not convinced that the fruit is harmoniously ripe. Fair drinking but lacks wealth and allure (though not concentration—it is admirably concentrated). | 84

Anthony Rose | Youthful ruby hue. A hint of oak behind the ripe red fruits on the nose; good, ripe, fresh cherry fruit, with supple, juicy tannins and a nice balancing freshness on the finish, if a tad sour. A very satisfying wine with finesse. | 89
