Andrew Jefford: Translucent garnet-red. Fresh strawberry and raspberry fruits: exuberant and enticing, without excessive sweetness. A touch of vulcanization (rubberiness) just takes the shine off the fruits. Vivid and lively, though less concentrated than the best of its peers. The redcurrant fruits carry some tannins, mitigating the slight lack of concentration. | 88
Jasper Morris: Fresh medium-deep color. There is a light but far from disagreeable greener edge to the nose. Personally, I do not need absolute ripeness to enjoy a wine. The palate bears out what the nose suggests. It is certainly one of the lighter wines in the tasting but everything is in the right place and the gentle fruit gives pleasure. More length here than intensity. A wine for spring or early-summer drinking, probably over the next year or so. | 86
Catherine Petrie: A medium cherry-red. Aromas of sweet sugared strawberries with a balsamic edge burst from the glass. Despite its upfront fruitiness, there is a savory, restrained character to the wine, both easy to approach and elegant. Fine tannins flow across the palate. The fruit is fresh and crunchy, but the acidity feels just a little edgy on the finish, which suggests it probably needs to accompany food. Drinking well now, and for a few years yet. | 89
