Bruno Besa | Garnet to pink rim. Youthful nose, a touch dominated by sweet oak, with small red fruits and aromatic herbs. Medium body, layered tannins, with a red-currant and cranberry palate. Long, yet a touch green on the finish. | 89
Andrew Jefford | Clear, deep dark red in color. Warmed autumn red fruits in a stealthy, milky soft style; dried- mushroom complexities. Meat jus and stock, too. Some small wood? Well into its secondary stage now; the fruits are relatively subdued and just one element in the mix. Vivid, richly flavored, dark fruits swirling away into a dark chocolate and arabica finish (that, too, would suggest small wood); ample tannins and sustained, polished acidity, yet a sense of warmth and succulence. This has real generosity and wealth, as well as complexity, depth, and drive. | 92
Michael Palij | The nose is impressive, with obvious red fruit including pomegranate, cherry, plum plus licorice and blackberry. The palate is equally dramatic, although the obvious oak tannins are still much in evidence. The fruit, however, is concentrated and, at this stage at least, seems more than a match. Acidity is also sufficiently robust to warrant further aging. Fleshy and fat, but not without considerable charm. | 95
