BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Garnet to pink. Open nose, slightly vegetal undertones, some red fruit with prominent oak. Medium body, a touch bitter. Fairly long. | 87

Andrew Jefford | Another very pale, clear-hued wine, yet this time with very attractive, floating, aerial aromas of spice and leather, as well as warmed, burnished currants and pomegranate. Serene, classic, and enticing. On the palate, this is full of gracious charm and refined inner warmth. Little glycerol, in contrast to some of the other wines, but its poise, balance, and finesse are all amply worthy of the appellation. A clean licorice finish. | 90

Michael Palij | A huge nose, with parma violets, sweet cherry, plum, and a curious, dusty note from old oak. On the palate, the balance is admirable, with the fine grape tannins and linear acidity providing a lovely frame in which the fruit can reside. This is a pleasantly traditional wine with lots of appeal. | 90
