Bruno Besa: Light garnet to tawny. Developed, farmyardy, cedar-wood, dried black-fruit nose, yet fairly inviting and complex. Medium body, with a balanced palate, good acidity, and a long, complex, ripe black-fruit finish. For early drinking yet characterful and classic. 92
Andrew Jefford: Bright, clear, and translucently glowing dense garnet-red. Warm but a little tired, lacking freshness and lift; aromatic but somehow fatigued for some reason. Sound fruit, but in rather tangy, dry style. Fair only. 84
Michael Palij: Stewed red fruit with an herbaceous edge comprising hay, straw, and mineral notes allied to red and black fruit, plum, damson, cherry, and balsamic notes. The palate is slightly stewed, but the red fruit shines through, providing focus for the tannins on the finish. This wine is too young and needs time for the tannins to ameliorate and the fruit to express tertiary characteristics. 93
