Bruno Besa: Garnet to tawny. Fairly refined, earthy, mineral nose, with small red fruits and road tar. Compact, clean, and restrained palate, with intense minerality and a long, chalky, elegant finish. 92
Andrew Jefford: Deep, clear garnet and tile red; ample depths. The aromas are a little farmy and rustic, though there’s a nice thrum of ripe fruit, too. Chunky and generous on the palate, if not quite with the aromatic finesse of the best of its peers. Lots to get stuck into; ample fruited wealth. 86
Michael Palij: Dusty notes of old oak, slightly baked black fruit, and aggressive, wood-derived tannins. Short and already attenuated. 82
