BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Garnet to tawny. Open, mature, slightly vegetal nose, with orange peel, mature red fruit, and intense rose and violets notes. Medium to full body, slightly overripe palate, yet well- supported by the layered tannins. Fairly long. | 90

Andrew Jefford | Deep, clear black-red. A little mixed ripeness? Fresh red fruits but some raisin, too, over a softly savory, calfskin backdrop. Dry and slightly bitter, by contrast, on the palate, though amply framed. | 85

Michael Palij | Diffuse nose, with floral notes typical of La Morra, including wild rose, hawthorn, and violet. Less obvious fruit. Simple wine, with short length, but it has an appealing tannic center that provides some definition. It lacks concentration of fruit. | 85
