Andrew Jefford | Dark, saturated black-red. Sweet, warm, meaty; a touch of reduction lends the fruit a savory style. Amply attractive nonetheless, though we have wandered some way from the commune’s perfumed ideal. On the palate, too, this is generous (for the vintage) with riper fruit than many and less of a cool streak. The reduction clears a little in the glass, and this wine will have mid-term legs. With a more appealing aromatic profile, this would merit a low-90s score. | 89
Michael Schuster | Cassis ripe in fruit to smell; full, fairly concentrated, finely tannic—well balanced with a fleshy core fruit, blackcurrant sweet, ample and generous, but with a good length of flavor and a fine, fruit-cored aftertaste. This will be a very satisfying fruit-filled mature glass, a plumper style of Margaux, accessible early for those who don’t mind a bit of tannin, but time will reward even more. 2025–35. | 91
