Bruno Besa | Garnet to light orange. Open, small-red-fruits and orange-peel nose, with cigar-box complexity and intense minerality. Medium to full body with classic, high-toned, vertical palate with wild red fruits and a tobacco and rosewater finish. Great classic Nebbiolo. | 95

Stephen Brook | Delightful nose, lifted and energetic, ripe red fruits. Fine attack, juicy and vibrant, nicely concentrated without excessive extraction. There’s marked acidity, which gives the palate vigor, as well as persistence. And again, that energy. There’s an almost nutty complexity on the finish. Youthful and invigorating. | 94

Andrew Jefford | Bright, clear, deep red. Concentrated, deep, resonant red fruits (pomegranate and redcurrant), with some incense finesse. Promising and enticing. Intense, deep, concentrated, and vibrant on the palate, with less extravagant tannins than some, and fine harmony, roundness, completeness, and complexity at this stage. The sweetness of the vintage and the sobriety of the wine are perfectly matched. The dry briskness of Castiglione is well realized. | 92
