Bruno Besa | Garnet to light tawny. Open, spicy, slightly developed animal nose, with tobacco, leather, rosewater, and wild strawberries. Medium body with layered tannins, intense mineral character, with weightless, clean small red fruit. Great classic Barolo. | 94
Stephen Brook | Juicy, super-ripe nose, a cocktail of red fruits and quite floral, too. Rich and full-bodied with excellent concentration of fruit. Solidly tannic without being extracted. Not that nuanced, but it needs more time. Good length. | 92
Andrew Jefford | Clear red. Earthy, warm, mellow: a sense of fire within. Glowing and exuberant fruits: very attractive, if without quite the same degree of aromatic finesse as the best of its peers. A sappy nuttiness, too. A simple, slightly jammy fruit style but lent dignity by the ample tannins. Some volatility palpable here. | 84
