Bruno Besa | Tawny to orange. Fruit-driven, with mature cherries, a touch dusty, with violets and orange peel. Mature, round, with sweet plum fruit. Slightly overripe on the finish. | 87
Stephen Brook | Lean cherry nose but quite stylish. Medium- bodied and graceful, but no sooner does this hit the palate than there is a whack of acidity and tannin. It’s raw, and there’s a lack of persistence, too, and a hint of greenness. Too rustic and dry on the finish for my palate, and I don’t see this becoming harmonious. Moderate length. | 82
Andrew Jefford | Clear dark red; deep-hued. Warm, soft, rounded, faintly spicy scents; quiet undergrowth and “hot child” behind. Compared with its peers, this is a slightly muddled aromatic profile. Deep, round, and vigorous on the palate, with impressive ripeness, concentration, depth, and tannic structure; a dry finish, with palpable acid- tannin balance. Very good wine, though not much finesse, polish, or perfume, and some slightly disconcerting notes to the aroma. | 88
