Nicolas Belfrage: Attractive mid-depth ruby. Almost a Nebbiolo-like rose hint to the nose. A ripe, balanced, and very classy wine that promises well for the future. 94
Bruno Besa: Garnet to tawny. Open, spicy, tobacco and leather nose with layered red and black fruit and hints of smoke and Mediterranean herbs. Compact, balanced, complex, and layered black fruit palate, with super-refined tannins and a long, intense finish. Definitely a wine for long-term cellaring. 96
Andrew Jefford: Deep, clear black-red. Softly articulated but attractive aromas of fine red fruits with a little freshening copse and pine. Brimful of good things once you get this wine into your glass: full, limpid, seamless, deep, and engaging, with the tannins seamlessly bonded to the fruits, and with a poised, balanced sweetness that has nothing overdrawn about it. All that is missing as yet is some notes of aromatic refinement and secondary development, but the fact that they are still in abeyance surely bodes well for this long-term wine. If you were very sensitive to herbaceousness you might find a touch here, but it seems to me to be a complexing factor in this wine. A fine effort: concentrated, fresh, deep yet sweet-textured from start to finish. 92
