BB | Garnet to pink. Open, mature, touch overripe, black cherries, earthy, smoked meats nose. Full body, sweet black fruits, fine tannins, long and clean. Not a master of refinment but generous and very well made.Drink Dates: 2026 - 2035. 94
AJ | Dark black-red; a deeper hue than many Quiet, but a grand refinement: wonderful seamless integration of the wooded Brunello landscape into the vineyard synopsis. Faultless as is ... though it doesn't really pump it out. But do we need it pumped out? I suspect not. Beautiful and compelling wine on the palate, with ample depth, finely judged tannins, woven multi-coloured acids. It all works terrifically well and this would be a great buy. Perhaps it doesn't quite have the perfection of ripeness and aesthetic assurance of the very best, but we are not far off. The mid-palate just a little bit abruptDrink Dates: 2026 - 2032. 91
MP | The pronounced nose suggests very obvious oak including notes of cedar, liquorice, clove and charred wood. Beneath this patina of oak lies blackberry, black cherry, Victoria plum and fig compote. The palate confirms the fruit ripeness with high alcohol and only moderate acidity that together drive a powerful but one-dimensional finish. This is a showy and obvious glass of Brunello.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2027. 91
