Tim Atkin: Mid-garnet/red. complex nose, rich, savory, still young, fresh, and balanced. Palate still quite tannic, but nuanced and fresh and elegant. tamed ripeness, good acidity and length. old- fashioned style, with balsamic notes and pretty serious tannins. Sweet, rich finish. a classy brunello. 17
Nicolas Belfrage: Good color, with some turn. Unusually herbal/medicinal, with good penetration and overall quality; somehow a bit aggressive now, but concentrated and penetrating. Hard to judge now; needs time. drink from 2015 for 10+ years. 16
Bruno Besa: Deep garnet to tawny rim. Mature black-fruit nose, a touch closed but multilayered, with prunes, graphite, cloves, and smoked red meat. Quite austere and chunky. Full body, with sweet fruit and clean, mature black fruit. Good wine—just not very elegant. 16
