Simon Larkin : Spicy, earthy, deep-wound fruit with some wood aromas. The palate shows pleasing freshness, quite ample and silky in style. Undergrowth and woody characters add complexity, with marked drying tannins on the finish. This is an assertive style that shows serious intensity and structural tannins to match. Overassertive? In any case, patience is required, ideally eight to ten years, with the ability to age for six years thereafter. 15.5

Nicolas Belfrage: Correct depth of colour, not light but not too deep. More fruit than flower on nose, some volatility (positive). Good wine in terms of fruit and balance, but not immediately recognizable as Nebbiolo; though the character is there, it's somewhat hidden. 14
