BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Garnet to pink. Mature, open, black-fruit nose, herbal and a touch medicinal, with orange peel, black prunes, and dried herbs. Full body, with sweet, overripe fruit and a moderate finish. | 86

Andrew Jefford | Garnet-red. Super-grassy and herbaceous aromas. On the palate, these characteristics are amply evident, too. | 75

Michael Palij | Here is the juiciest of juicy and the ripest of ripe versions of Nebbiolo. The nose shows black cherry, olive, mineral, blueberry, and the most assertive of tannins. Proof, if such were needed, of Nebbiolo’s inability to combine with oak. | 84
