Nicolas Belfrage: Classic Brunello of the traditional style – nothing overstated, elegant and balanced, sweet sour/cherry fruit and no protruding wood. It would probably not win great plaudits from the concentration x 3 pundits, but it has that essential element: balance. And typicity. Reminds me of Il Poggione, though probably isn’t. Drink 2010 for 15 years. 18

Roy Richards Explosive black fruit, surprizingly cassis character. Delicious black olive Syrah flavors. Very happy to drink this, but not quite what it should be. 14

Franco Ziliani: Good color intensity but not dark. Intense nose, ripe cherry, plum a hint of licorice and mint, some leather, rich, complex, fresh, elegant bouquet. Full-bodied, round and soft tannins, has length and good persistence, and a very savory and balanced finish. 16
