BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster: Faintly citrus and mineral to smell; this is a very nicely balanced medium-full wine, fairly concentrated, and with a nice freshness of acidity; very sweet, with a clear botrytis spice complexity, nice length across the palate, and with a fine length of aftertaste; better than many, because it retains its aromatic presence and definition on the finish, without any sense of slackness. Very good for the year. 92–94

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Precise, generous in its liqueur, with this vintage’s characteristic freshness. A great classic of a Barsac. 96
