Andrew Jefford: Clear mid-gold. Rather neutral in aroma: clean and fresh, but lacks a little allusiveness. Tangy and rich, but on the palate, too, there is a slight lack of allusive intricacy. Perhaps a year or two will change this. The balance is lively, though I can’t see a lot of botrytis or oaky sumptuousness. Now to 2022. 84
Stephen Brook: Discreet nose of apricot and tropical fruit but not overblown. Good attack, assertive and pungent, with vibrant acidity that gives some punch. There’s an attractive purity of fruit, and a velvety texture to give a sensuous edge. Ample energy here, and fine ageing potential. Long. 92
